Olana en plein air art showThe Columbia County Council on the Arts and The Olana Partnership are excited to announce our collaboration on the second annual ‘Creating Landscapes within the Landscape’, a plein air paint-out, art show, and auction to be held on October 5th. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success, with almost 200 people attending the art show and auction at Olana.Twenty-six plein air artists will capture one of the most famous sites in America and the 19th century home, studio, and artist-designed landscape of Hudson River School artist, Frederic Edwin Church. The 250-acre historic estate features a Persian-inspired mansion and five miles of carriage roads, many of which traverse the property in much the way Church created his canvasses, with strategically revealed vistas of one of the most strikingly beautiful places in the Hudson Valley.

Participating En Plein Air Artists:
Joe Baker, Scott Thomas Balfe, Jane Bloodgood-Abrams, Arlene Boehm, Joshua Brehse, Gerald Cooley, Timothy Ebneth, Olive Farrell, Frank Federico, Patti Ferrara, Tarryl Gabel, Laura Garramone, Dan Graziano, Jamie Williams Grossman, Valerie Hoffmann, Karen Hummel, Carrie Jacobson, Gretchen Kelly, Kathryn Kosto, Gregg Kreutz, Leah Lopez, Susan Miiller, Walt Pasko, Steven James Petruccio, Judy Reynolds, Susan Whiteman.
